How can the psychologist help you?

There are various ways in which a psychologist can help you. See below which one suits you. Meetings can be individual, for couples or groups, and the discussions remain confidential.

Psychotherapy

This is the classic form of collaboration between the psychologist and the client. During these meetings the client is supported in a safe and empathetic space to discover the source of negative feelings and is taught ways to manage them.

Counseling

This form of collaboration is similar to psychotherapy, the difference being that it focuses more on personal/professional development and achieving goals. It usually takes place weekly.

Group Therapy

Group therapy involves group meetings (5-10 people), in which participants talk about the problems they face, and the psychologist guides them to different ways of managing their feelings.

Workshop

They can be delivered to organizations, the general public or specific groups. The topics covered are in the field of psychoeducation, communication, optimization strategies, mindfulness and much more.

Hello, I'm Mara-Theodora Neacșu

Psychotherapist

I am Mara-Theodora Neacșu and I am a Psychotherapist. I created LifeQuality as a method to increase the quality of life. I studied Psychology at the University of Bucharest, Universidad de Salamanca and Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj Napoca, and I am specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy. Right now I am in training in Emotion Focused Therapy.

I believe in freedom, curiosity and diversity. I believe that all people have the power to grow and become authentic, to be who they really feel they are. Sometimes you need guidance, a specialist who listens openly and guides, with whom they feel safe to begin the process of personal development.

Our mind is like a garden that we arrange as we want, in which we can plant and grow what plants we want, and consciously remove the weeds that prevent us from blooming. Of course, there are also elements such as soil or climate that are more difficult to change, some flowers that we are not sure we want, but we can consciously learn how to use them to our advantage.

How does it work?

What is the course of a therapeutic process? What exactly happens at the psychologist?

Step 1 First session
Come to a first session

At the first session we get to know each other, talk about the concern you came for and determine how the therapeutic process will go. The first meetings are important because you realize if you resonate with me and my style of therapy, and if you feel that you want to continue this journey of self-knowledge and healing with me.

Step 2 Planning
Evaluation and planning

We deepen the discussions about the reason for coming to the psychologist, we identify the desired objectives and we make a personalized plan to reach them.

Step 3 Sub Label
We heal and learn new behaviors

We heal inner wounds through various therapeutic techniques and learn new healthy ways to manage difficulties. When you feel that you can cope on your own, we also make a relapse prevention plan or you can return to therapy whenever you feel the need.

Common questions

Going to a psychologist is an important step and we often have questions that we do not know who to ask. Below are a series of frequently asked questions that clients have.

If it occurred to you that you would like to go, or someone close to you is worried about you and told you that this might help you, then maybe it's time. There are many reasons why people turn to a psychologist. Some of them can be: you feel that you have some very intense emotions that affect your daily life, your relationships are not as you would like, you fail to do what you set out to do, you no longer like to do anything and you can't find your place, you don't know how to get over certain moments, you feel overwhelmed by stress, you have sexual problems, you want to manage your time better, you want to know yourself better or make a change in your life. These are only examples, you can come with other problems.

Every person is different, with different needs and resources. A therapeutic process can take from a few months to several years. The role of therapy is to help the client achieve his/her goals and to teach him/her to become autonomous in managing difficult situations. Of course, after completing the process the client can return to therapy when needed.

I have been working with Mara online for almost a year. I didn't think you could feel such intense things through a screen until I came to it. She is a true professional and I feel like with each session something is rearranged in my mind. I like that she gives me homework between sessions, I feel that what we work on is very practical, it's not just on a mental level
