Group therapy
Group therapy involves group meetings, in which participants talk about the problems they face, and the psychologist guides them to different ways of managing their feelings. The advantage of a group is that you can listen to the stories of others, you can be inspired by them and you can work on goals related to relationships and improving social skills.
My style
The therapy I practice is of collaborative style, my role being to moderate and guide the participants to their own answers and to the techniques that suit them best. I like to have a red thread that I follow, thus having a structure, but I leave the freedom and creativity to explore the present needs of the group. The group has a special magic because each participant can learn new and unique ways of managing difficulties, providing a safe space where everyone feels that they belong.
How does it work?
Groups usually consist of 6-10 participants. It usually happens weekly or biweekly, in closed groups (same members throughout the group). Depending on the size of the group, there may be a co-therapist.
